Web-based databases are often the perfect solution for presenting complicated information. Databases allow the user to select the information he or she wants and provide interactivity.

Databases can be used in a variety of situations.

Manage content through the use of templates. These templates enable staff to quickly and easily update information on pages that change often, without knowing how to code in HTML.

Showcase information you may have developed on your local computer system — for instance, a listing of birding spots in the area. Users can search by species or location.

Create a user-driven repository of information. Your members can create content detailing volunteer skills online through your Web site that others can draw upon, or provide information about organizational activities that are open to the public.

Promote an issue through our advocacy database. Visitors can use an interactive tool to either get information or send an important message about your organization's agenda to Members of Congress, agency officials, the White House, or other decision-makers.

Incorporate member Web pages into your site. We can develop templates that allow members, chapters, or sections of your organization to update information, create reports and generate mini Web pages that can be password protected and uniquely addressable.

This is just a small example of what can be done with databases on the Web. Collaborative Technology Group will work with you to customize a database that will help you meet your mission critical goals.
